The beautiful yellow flowers bloom during February–March each year.

  • Tabebuia argentea Size and Structure: This tree is small, not exceeding 8 meters in height, and has an oval-shaped crown. In contrast, other species may grow much taller and have different canopy shapes.
  • Bark and Branches: The bark is brown, rough, and grooved, with branches growing in layers, which sets it apart from species that might have smoother bark or different branching patterns.
  • Leaf Arrangement and Shape: The leaves are palmately compound with five leaflets, arranged oppositely and perpendicularly. The leaflets themselves are elliptical with smooth edges, differing from species with simple leaves or toothed leaflets.
  • Tabebuia argentea Flower Structure: The inflorescence is a cluster, and the flowers are perfect and laterally symmetrical. They have five sepals fused at the base and lobed at the tips, and five yellow petals fused into a bell shape. The tips of the petals split open like a mouth, with two petals on the upper side—features that are distinct from other species with different petal shapes, numbers, or colors.
  • Reproductive Organs: There are four stamens in two pairs of unequal length and one pistil with a stigma divided into two lobes, and an ovary above the floral whorl. Other species may have a different number or arrangement of these organs.
  • Tabebuia argentea Fruit Characteristics: The fruit is a dry pod that splits open, gray with black longitudinal lines, unlike some species whose fruit may not split or have different colors or markings.
  • Tabebuia argentea Blooming Season: Flowers bloom during February–March, while other species may bloom in different seasons.
